' We are proud to announce that the NEHYL U-11 Representative side have won the Southern Counties Inter-League Premiership League for 2007/8.

The team was formed at the start of this season following trials and did well to gel together so quickly. The players selected came from nine different teams and all of the boys have been a credit to their Clubs and coaches.

Following a couple of friendly matches against teams from an older age group the team won their opening league fixture beating Tandridge 3-2 at Cobham. Surrey Primary were next up and the team did well to hold on to a 1-0 lead with the defence superb throughout. The teams only defeat came against an excellent  S.E. London and Kent side at Mole Valley when our opponents forced the winner with three minutes to play. So it was all to play for in the final game against West Surrey at Cove on Monday 14th April at Cove; and the boys duly delivered clinching the title with a 3-0 win against another good side.

Thanks to all the parents for their support this year and to the match officials and organisers who put so much effort into the running of what is an excellent competition.   '
